Nomo News
Hello Future NWCJ Fans,
It is with great pleasure to be writing this for you, and it is with delight that I have much news to report!
I'd like to begin the report by noting the end of an era in the NWC. H.I.W. has closed it's doors after many months of successful operation. We wish it's ownership the best of luck in all future endeavors and invite the roster members to take a look at Japan for their next home!
As you all know by now it is a landmark time in NWCJ, as the process has begun for entry into the National Wrestling Council. Whether it comes to pass or not is still up in the air, so continue to send those letters and FAXes to the NWC and let them know you want The Japan Project to become a reality!
NWCJ recently appeared at the Sports Convention at the Tokyo Dome, and reaction was decidedly positive. Speaking at the event were Jim Gamias and new signee Shinkan. While surveys taken before the speeches showed a lot of skepticism towards the western product, surveys afterwards showed a tremendous approval rating for the venture. I believe we must all give the NWCJ a chance. They are taking great steps to respect the Japanese wrestling tradition, and have really made an effort to hire as much Japanese talent as possible, including myself!
On the signings front, I have some interesting news to report. Jim Gamias has confirmed to me that a very famous and very popular shootfighter of western descent is in negotiations with the NWC. A deal should be reached soon. As soon as I can release his name, I will. It will be interesting to see how he adapts to the professional wrestling world. As others have learned, it is a whole new ball game!
That's all the news for now, until next time!
