Koichi Fukada
Name: Koichi Fukada
Height: 6'
Weight: 221.
Age: 23.
Hometown/Nation: Yokohama, Japan.
Theme Music: "Suffocate" by Staind.
Alignment: Within the war-ridden boundries of Japan, face. When deep inside the polluted shores of the United States, heel.
Appearance: From top to bottom, a well-built machine. Although Koichi isn't too much in the looks department, he sure as hell has it covered when it comes to physique, with only 8% body fat.
His black hair is like a semi-spiked glob of mass. The spikes don't shoot up -- but rather, sideways, giving Koichi a somewhat immature look to him. It's shaved around the sides and parted down the middle (comes down to about the bottom of his ears). When he comes to the ring, his hair is usually wet and stringy, like his partners. His eyes, a light green. He has a thick goatee on his chin, which is shaved straight down from the ends of his lips. A tattoe of his name in ancient Japanese lettering goes vertically down his forearm.
Ring Attire: To the ring, Koichi wears a black amateur wrestling style outfit. The only artwork/lettering done on the tights is a single white stripe going around the midsection. Covering the outfit is a white sleeveless vest he removes upon entering the ring. Across the back in black lettering it reads "FUKADA" in ancient Japanese lettering. He also wears a pair of black knee pads, black elbow pads, and black tape around his wrists.
Description of the Wrestler's Personality, Behavior, and Attitude: In Japan, the Fukada brothers have a bright history. There, they will respect the rules and tradition that they have grown up admiring, and will do nothing to sneak attack the wrestlers, or disgrace the federation they compete in. There, you will see then often doing long interviews, signing appearences, and such.. but while in America, things go opposite. The men will have destinct hatred for each of the NWC United States federations, and will do their best to cheat, lie, steal, and disgrace the rules and whatever foolhearted "tradition" they have implied within their regions.
Background Information on Wrestler: Koichi and Rathi were born (nearly) identical twins. As they were growing up, their mother, a single parent, sought better for her children. And thus, knowing the great legend of the Americas, dropped the Fukada brothers in the caring arms of their aunt, also her sister, and left for America in search of a new life.. so that her kids, family, and friends, truly, could be proud of her.
She never returned.
The ideas are sketchy, but since the day the Fukada mother left for America, she has not been seen, or heard from, at all. Some believe that she was murdered, or involved in a plane crash, while others have strong promise in the fact that the U.S government captured her(without a passport), and sent her to the hard-labor bays "rumored" to be sketched out throughout the United States. And, under the reign of a woman who believed the latter, the Fukada brothers were raised to believe the same thing.
And so, the Fukada brothers have developed an immense hatred for the states, and have decided to do anything, and everything, in their power to receive the chance to find out, what, in fact, happened to their mother, and if it was, in any way, related to the United States -- get revenge, in the harshest way possible.
And thus, they stumbled across this National Wrestling Council, in realization that they, in fact, could be their link to revenge.. and then took great intrest once they found that a Japan-based organization was soon to be formed. They watched the federation from afar for a long while, as the completion date of the Japanese federation approached. During this time, they sought and achieved training through the independent federations throughout Japan.. and then.. it opened. The Japan Project.. opened.
Titles Held: JPW Tag Team Titles(3). G-Pro Tag Team Title(1).
Three Strengths/Talents of the wrestler:
1) Counters. Koichi has an usually quick reaction time, which makes his ability to make counters that much better.
2) Ring Presence. Koichi has great control over his placement in the ring. For example - if he knows his opponent is going to try and latch on a submission, he'll get in a position so that he'll go down near the ropes, and'll easily be able to get out of the hold because of that. And, he'll do just the opposite when going for a pinning menuever.
3) Wrestling knowledge. Koichi did a lot of research when first scouting the National Wrestling Council. Because of this, he knows many a move, and practically the whole almost-two-year history of the NWC.
Three Weaknesses/Flaws of the wrestler:
1) Aerial Strength. He has none. While he may be a cruiserweight, Koichi is strangly very unable to do many acrobatic menuevers. Don't get me wrong, you'll see him pull off a suicide dive or a top-rope moonsault, but you won't see Koichi attempting, much less hitting, a 450 Splash or a Tope Con Hilo.
2) Anger. Like his brother, Koichi has a very short fuse. If someone pisses him off, he's bound to let loose and go insane on him, which will normally lead to a vital mistake.
3) Speed. Once again, Koichi has been plauged with the inability to be quick -- which is rare for a man his size. This is part of the reason why Koichi isn't able to do Aerial menuevers.. but strangly enough, he still his high reaction time. It has been hypothisized that the reason for all this was to create a well-balanced team, so each man worked on that side of the wall when training.
Finishing Maneuver: "Fall from Grace" - Koichi, after slapping his opponent down on the top rope with a belly-to-back suplex, climbs the ropes and hooks the back of his opponents head. From there, he pulls up, and falls backward, dropping the opponent head-first from the top-turnbuckle to the mat. In scientific terms, the menuever is known as an inverted top-rope brainbuster.
Setup Maneuver: A belly-to-back suplex is the peliminary move needed to actually perform the finisher, but the real "setup" menuever used to help wind the opponent is a leaping thrust kick to the gut, which is also used as a "setup" to several other of his signature menuevers, so it truly lives up to it's name.
Signature Maneuvers:
1) Crackback - Koichi sweeps through the opponent with a lariat, but doesn't let the man go down. Instead, he whips around the opponent and locks on a sleeper for a few moments. From there, he menuevers his right arm so it sticks under the right armpit of the opponent, then latched it with the other. From there, he swings the opponent upward and drops him on the mat to his right, neck first. The "scientific" names for this sequence of menuevers is lariat-sleeper-exploder suplex.
2) Blowout - A leaping senton splash from the top rope, modified so that he doesn't land on the chest of the opponent - instead, he aims the menuever for the knees, in hope of blowing out or seriously injuring the knee joints.
3) Death from Above - A crucifix powerbomb through the announcers/timekeepers table, normally executed from the ring apron, but can also be executed from the liberty of the top rope.
4) A leaping thrust kick to the gut, quickly followed up by a swinging legdrop on the back of the opponents head, flattening them out on the mat.
5) Top-Rope Lou Thez Press, followed by repeated shots to the head.
6) A leaping thrust kick to the gut, followed by a neckbreaker that springs off the top-rope(this needs Koichi's handy ring presence, or the opponent would fall if he attempted to run to the nearest rope), and then drops down. A "tornado neckbreaker", of sorts.
Non-"Signature", but Still Frequently Used Menuevers:
7) Top-Rope Body Splash.
8) Top-Rope Moonsault.
9) Camel Clutch.
10) Jumping Piledriver.
11) Powerbomb into a piledriver.
12) Floatover DDT.
13) Running Dropkick.
14) Hanging Sup(erp)lex.
15) Hanging Backbreaker Submission(Torture Rack)
